Listen-Hear is intended as an aural habilitative tool to assist professionals and parents working with hearing impaired children aged three to ten. It is intended for use with children who have been fit with hearing aids or have received a cochlear implant. However, any child who needs help with listening skills or general language development should benefit from this site.
The Listen-hear website is designed to function properly on the widest range of browsers and devices. However, to receive the best experience, it is recommended that you use a modern browser that supports the latest web standards (HTML5). In some situations the use of older versions of browsers that do not support HTML5 features may be unavoidable. In these situations, the Listen-Hear website may require the use of the Adobe Flash plugin. Please refer to the following table for web browser compatibility:

The Listen-hear website stores security and session information in HTTP web cookies. Your browser must support and accept cookies in order for you to be able to login and access the game and training modules. If you receive a error message when attempting to use the registration or the login pages, your browser may not have cookies enabled. Please consult your browser support documents to learn how to enable cookies.
JavaScript must be enabled in your browser to use the Listen-Hear website. This is generally the default setting for most browsers. A check is performed when loging into the site or attempting to register. If you recieve and error message when attempting to use the registration or the login pages your browser may not have JavaScript enabled. In order to use this website you must first register your child. This process allows the site to be individual tailored to your child’s needs and ensures that your child’s progress is kept confidential. Registration only requires your name, an active email address, and the creation of a user name and password (which you should keep secret). All the information entered during the registration process is kept completely confidential along with the progress statistics collected during your child’s use of this site.
To register with the site, select the registration menu item on the left side of the screen:
Please enter your child’s name, family name, email address, and optionally your doctors name in the first portion of the form
The select a username and password combination that you can use to login to the site each time your child wishes to continue with game play or training.
your will need to enter the password a second time to confirm there are no errors.
Also, to verify you are a real person (and not an automated spam program), please enter the word that appears in the partially obscured graphic image.
Once all this information is entered, press the "Create Account" button
If any information is missing, or incorrectly enter, you will receive an error message, and be asked to correct the appropriate field.
If all the information is correct, you will receive an email message sent to the supplied email address. This email will contain a web link. You must click on this link (or copy and paste it into your web browsers address field) to verify your email address and complete the registration process.
Once you have confirmed your email address, you will be directed to a login page. You may use the login menu item to get to this page during future visits.
Please enter your username and password to login into the site.
You may create additional account if you have more than one child that will make use of this site. Select the "New Account" button to create an account for another child. You may use the same email address for multiple accounts. You can also use the "Register" menu item to create new accounts.
After successfully logging into the site, you will be taken to the secure portion of the listen-hear site:

From here you may access module info, settings, practice, training, and game play. The menu on the left can be used to access the Ling 6-Sound assessment page, track the progress of your child, make account change, and logout of the site when you are finished.
Please note that your session will automatically expire after a few hours.
If you are lost or need more information to better utilize the tools on this site, select the Help menu item.
If you enter the password incorrectly, a warning message will appear:
You may attempt to try again (in case you merely mistyped your password), or, if you have completely forgotten your password, you can request a password reset by pressing the "Forgot Password" button.
An email message will be sent to the mail address associated with your account. This email will contain a web link. You must click on this link (or copy and paste it into your web browsers address field) to access a special password reset page:
Select a new password, enter it in both the "Password" and "Password Confirm" fields, and press the "Reset" button.
You will be taken to the login screen where you can try the new password that you just set.
